CONSEVATIONISTS working to increase the dwindling population of dormice are trying to produce a breed of supermice.
They have been granted a special licence to collect some of the protected species from the wild to augment the bloodline of the captive breeding population.

Over the winter, staff at Paignton Zoo in Devon have been caring for the animals while they hibernate.
